Or you can move the file to a different folder that has a shorter path length. If renaming the file is not an option an alternative is to rename the folder that the file resides to reduce its length. The dialog shown by the onedrive.exe sync tool advises how many characters need to be removed from the file path for it to sync. To resolve the long path issue and sync your file you will need to rename it to reduce the length of the file name to be within the 260 character URL length limit of OneDrive for Business.
